At Christmas time not all children in our city and surrounding areas receive presents, Rotarians make a difference by donating toys to our annual toy appeal.
Toys are distributed with the assistance of the Salvation Army or St Vincent De Paul on a year by year basis to children who would otherwise have nothing on Christmas morning.
Wednesday 21st December 2011 - The toys collected this year were delivered today to St Vincent De Paul in Bridge Street together with £130 towards the purchase of additional toys as required for distribution.
2010 - Service Chair Werner Scheel is asking members to provide a suitable toy (worth £5-£10), for a child or juvenile, and to bring it to one of the next Club Meetings, the last one being 6 December. If you wish, a monetary donation would be acceptable, so that we can purchase toys with the total proceeds. Many thanks in advance for your generous support.
If you would like to help us this year by donating a toy please contact our Club Secretary Jeremy Arthur by email jeremyarthur@johnvarthur.com for details.
