News and Events:
June 2003: Our AGM was held in The Lemon Tree restaurant, Omagh, where President Sheila McGrane handed over the chain of office to incoming President Myrtle. Everyone enjoyed a most delightful evening with delicious food and wine. We extend our best wishes and congratulations to Myrtle.
District Assembly: The Belmont hotel in Banbridge was the venue for the District Assembly meeting. We were welcomed by the District Chairman Anne Millar. Anne has chosen cochlean implants as her charity. She feels very passionate about it, as her granddaughter has had the implant operation.

September 2003: Our meeting took place in The White Horse Hotel. President Myrtle welcomed us all and discussed plans for the coming year. Business over, we were treated to a video of the Association Conference in Blackpool. Liz Horshi, as chief steward, welcomed our speaker, the entertaining Gervais Phinn. The evening concluded with a selection of canapés, tea and coffee.

October 2003: A most informative talk on silver spoons was enjoyed by all at our October meeting. The evening concluded with President Myrtle being awarded a silver spoon for her 100% score.

November 2003: Business matters were attended to first. All members then participated in card making. This was kindly organised by President Myrtle and Secretary Joan who provided the card and pressed flowers. Some members discovered a hidden artistic talent, whilst others, with foresight, made Valentine Cards.

December 2003: The Christmas party was hosted by President Myrtle at her home.A welcome drink of mulled wine followed by a buffet dinner of delicious food and fine wine was enjoyed by all. It proved to be a most sociable evening especially with the exchanging of seats throughout the evening.

February 2004: The U3A building was the venue for the February meeting. Bridget Murray, a local artist, supplied us with art material and directed us in the painting of snowdrops on card. A relaxing evening concluded with a glass of wine, tea or coffee.

March 2004: A brief business meeting was followed by a demonstration of flower arranging by Anne McKeever. the members then made their own Spring daffodil arrangement with Anne's assistance. This was a most satisfying and enjoyable evening.
