Welcome:

From small beginnings Inner Wheel has grown into one of the largest women's organisations in the world. It began on 10th January 1924 in Manchester, when Mrs Oliver Golding presided over a club formed by the wives of Rotarians. This club was the first to bear the name INNER WHEEL. The anniversary of this meeting is celebrated each year as World Inner Wheel Day.

In the following years, the organisation grew until in 1934, when 79 Clubs had been formed, it was decided to unite them into the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs Great Britain and Ireland.

The aims and objects of Inner Wheel are FRIENDSHIP and SERVICE and this is fostered through the many events which combine fund-raising, personal service and fun. Our membership, which is by invitation, involves a very active social calendar for members and their partners. The Club supports many worthwhile causes both at home and overseas.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution has been chosen as the Millennium Charity with the aim of raising enough money to have a new Trent Class Lifeboat within 3 years.

All fellow Inner Wheel members from far and near are most welcome to visit us. Join us and see what's happening!
