Every June, the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland together with KidsOut take over 25,000 disadvantaged children on a fun day out. The children visit the seaside, theme parks, adventure playgrounds and zoos, giving them all wonderful memories to cherish for a lifetime.
For many years now we have been taking the kids from Ardnashee School & College for a fun day out to Redcastle followed by lunch.
In recent years the coaches have been escorted by local bikers who kindly lead off on our journey from Ardnashee School on the Racecourse Road. The kids thoroughly enjoy their day out and look forward to seeing all the different motorbikes.
In addition Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attend with a fire engine if not out on a job and will be in attendance at the school again this year to the delight of the kids.
